Typically I wear 34 x 34. Sometimes with a thin cut ill wear 36 x 34

Definitely, the waist was tight on me and I had the zipper all the way open. They have a velcro zipper, Stone calls it Contour Waist. So you could size down 3 inches.

They will work. I normally wear a 32 and can comfortably wear an SG large, albeit a little loose.
