Just an update on the lateral stability of the BT1, based on some questions and comments.

I noted in the video I had only one side compression strap per side, and there was a little more movement than the SG. I also didn't have the lifters cranked down hard. I will check it out, but I am confident that with another compression strap, and everything tightened firmly, you can lock your load as tight as you want to the frame, and the frame sits solidly.

I didn't, because the load was carrying quite comfortably the way it was.

Just some durability testing. .....

In the interests of scientific research... I've been doing some some durability testing myself. Just with the Stone Glacier, since I don't have a Kifaru handy.

Today it survived being strapped to the outside of a helicopter and logged several hundred miles in zero degree temps. I find that's usually a good test of straps and buckles. Also pretty tough on most non-cordura fabrics, as as the rack tends to wear holes in things at 100 kts. No issues to report, and it still looks like new.

I also really like the way the bag compresses down. Reduces flapping at cruise speed.

I also did some durability testing on myself. Besides being zero degrees, we also had a nice wind kickin' all day, and my job involved snowshoeing around on frozen lakes with zilch for cover. I'm not at all sure I passed the test quite as successfully.

Its tough when that brown truck comes thru the neighborhood! Have about 3 week till my expected ship date, its getting close boys!!
