Stocky's VG2 for Tikka

For anyone else with a Stocky’s VG. Did it work with your factory hardware for bottom metal? The screw for the front of bottom metal isn’t long enough to grab the threads on mine.

Mine worked fine. It makes me wonder if you have the recoil seated properly in the slot in the receiver.

I was literally editing my post to call myself an idiot. It does work, I had grabbed the wrong screw from the OEM stock that isn’t used on this one.

I emailed them. I'll update this when I hear a response. My stock was also missing the front sling stud and nut altogether.

Circling back around to this - Stocky's shipped the lug my way. Good service from them.

Mine was drop in and go. I got a lug with mine, but I think I got one of the first ones

I'll be bedding mine. I haven't shot it yet, but I prefer the action fit to the stock tighter than this inlet provides.

I checked out stocky’s website, seems like everything is on back order, how long did it take guys that order one to receive there stock?

I've always ordered in stock options. It seems they keep they try to keep reasonable stock most times.

Both of mine were received within a week of order. Both showed in stock though.

I think they go in and out of stock pretty frequently. I checked between two weeks and the listings were different. Mine came within a week.

I ordered one for a Howa and it was backordered. Took about 6 weeks to come in. And, to be clear, the stock for the Tikka is a VG, not a VG2. My title is wrong.

Any complaints on the shorter forearm length on these VG models for the Tikkas? I have the VG2 on a Howa and like it but it has a more standard length forearm.
