Well let’s not stop there let’s see some pics from you at the prs finale? I mean if you’re the expert of all things field and comp you should be the guy to say what works in one vs the other.

If you’re just another guy getting beat by guys running 50lb dashers and changing out lead weights between stages then you should stay in your lane.

Please point out a single time I have spoke or given advice on PRS? I could not care less about PRS and hence do not engage in discussions on it. This is a backpack hunting site, I have shown plenty on here of “staying in my lane”.

So you do, or do not have applicable backpack hunting experience to refute what I have written?

Time to get a rokslide group buy going. Even just a bunch of flat tops that need Inletting

Latest shoot 2 hunt they talked about it with Gunwerks, sounds like a very low priority for them, and they'd only do it if it was an easy inlet process. Too many other undeveloped projects on the books to mess with it. They did say they would need a group order to even consider evaluating it.

That’s the beauty of a flat top. No I letting from gunwerks required. They offer the magnus with no magazine cut, just remove the option for barrel contour and action and your off to the races

The one that is on the Werkman is the best stock they’ve made- Gen 1 Magnus believe.

I very well could be the minority but I can honestly say the last 10 big game animals, except for 1 have been from a bipod. But like you pointed out, I do notice/seek out prone ready bipod shooting locations. It's hard for me to imagine shooting without one.

That said my last critter was from a tripod and I find it just as easy and quick to clamp into a tripod and throw the pack under the rear for sitting shots. I personally put away Trekking poles when moving in on an animal. I'm thinking I'll try some shooting off of Trekking poles and see what I think.

You are the one that brought the prs into the discussion. Paraphrasing, but the rub was prs guns and shooting techniques do not work in the field. Then you exaggerated the opinion by posting some fudds wrangling their gear and talked about people wrenching on lead weights between stages.

My point is that if you put a top level competitor in the field he would be just fine and if you compare a fudd at a match to a fudd that only hunts they are going to be at a similar level.

There is crossover between the sport and field and I agree the gear has dramatically increased due to the game and the backcountry hunter is the beneficiary.

Fwiw, I wasn’t directing my rhetorical question to you (or I would have replied to one of your posts), and you did reply, so kudos. But there is a recurring situation in which the dialogue goes off the rails and I’m pushing for some moniker or phrase with an acronym, like BOAL, as an example.

Call it a TED, after hall of fame left fielder Ted Williams.
Teds always come from out of left field

I’m going to cast my vote for Sincerely,

DBtHtF? Or SATHTF? We need some of our RS members who are in Congress to weigh in. (They can help us work backwards from a cool acronym to gin up a phrase.)
SATHTF is pretty easy to decode.

I like stocks.
