Does anyone have this issue? And how do you get around it? The only way I've found is to throw them in the dryer after washing them after every 5/6 or so washes. Otherwise after I airdrop them they are stiff in places. Sure they soften up after putting them on but if anyone knows a way for this not to happy, I'd love to know it.

Darn tough are terrible for that, things shrink two sizes every time I was them!

Darn tough take at least a day of wearing them to loosen up!

I wear lightweight Smartwool merino socks. I always stretch them after taking them out of the washing machine, then I stretch them again after they dry. They're fine at that point.

I wash and dry my darn tough socks with all my other clothing, nothing special. Going on 4-5 years with some of them and no issues at all.

Washer and then dryer for me too. Socks get washed way more often than the rest of my hunting clothes. Lots of different brands; Cabela’s, minus 33, meindl, SG, Costco, bombas. Amazingly , I have no darn tough.
