Stevens 301 + .410 TSS + Red Dots for Turkey

Anyone else recommend any good lead loads that pattern well with the factory xfull choke? I've got some good tss loads but need some cheap small game loads.

Just a thought. Everyone complains about the high pic rail on the Stevens but it does give you the option of using the front bead in the event you have a dead battery on a red dot.

I have shot many lead loads through a .410, and to say the patterns are pathetic as far as turkey hunting goes is an under statement!

Fed. Rem. Winchester all junk 6s and 7.5 shot, not sure how I had killed so many roosters and doves with a .410 after the patterning!

I really like my .410 cva scout. Is is a dead ringer out to 50 yards also. I made the change this year to a Carlson choke and apex tss. It's a great combo and put over 150 pellets in the 10 inch circle at 40 yards. That combo is leaps and bounds better than the factory choke with federal tss which only put about 90 pellets in the same circle. Here is the 40 yard target woth apex tss.

Could not be happier with the Stevens, Carleson choke tube, Burris red dot, and Ninja 9.5. Fun to shoot, easy to carry, kids and adults love to shoot it, and kills birds.
