Stepping up to Digiscoping

Well, ive FINALLY put together a decent package. After years of wanting a decent spotting scope, ive finally made the plunge and got the vortex razor 65mm. Added a ProMaster Professional XC525C Carbon Fiber Tripod, and ordered the phoneskope set up for my Iphone4s today.

I wanted to add the outdoorsman micro pan, but for now...this set up should do the trick. Planning a second scout trip to NM before the November hunt, and this package will go with me.

Cant wait!

Any tips or tricks for the phoneskope I should know about? I debated back and forth on whether or not to get the universal set up with the hook and loop so I could mount it to my otterbox, but felt this set up with the specific mount MIGHT work out better. I just need to be careful not to drop the phone on a rock I guess....LOL.

I have the phoneskope for my 6 plus and a swaro 65 mm scope. The phoneskope works pretty good, but I my setup its not a precision fit. It works best for me about an 1/8th inch from being fully depressed on the eyepiece. I have to zoom a bit to get rid of the black circle, and that is no matter what the eye relief on the scope is set at. Overall, I'm happy. The phone stays on solid where I put it and it takes nice photos. Just have to learn where the sweet spot is for it on your scope eyepiece. I'm looking forward to using it on my Wyoming Hunt and have practiced a bit at some football games.
