What is the easiest way to pitch tipi or pyramid shelters a bit elevated for improved airflow?

Is there a way to make guy out extensions using cordage only that will allow for this? How do you ensure a right pitch? Or do you need to use linelocs on the exitensions to adjust the tension?

I use 18” pieces of 2mm Lawson Glowire tied through the stake loops with a bowline and then use a taut line hitch around the stake. Super light and very adjustable

This is how I do my guy outs. But for pitching the shelter I’m having difficulty. For the guy lines I put the stakes in the ground. Then tie the knots and adjust the tension.

But when I stake the shelter I usually stake right through the stake loops. I’m finding it difficult to pre tie tautline hitch and stake through it because the knot isn’t really under tension and holding. I’ll have to play around with it I guess

That’s the system I use for my guy lines. But I can’t figure out how to use it to pitch the actual shelter. Atleast with adjustable extensions. Obviously it’s easy if I just tie 6in loops on all the guy out points. But then it’s kinda non adjustable on the fly

If you use the line locs or tautline hitch, they are adjustable. Prob need to make them at least 12” though to have enough room to adjust. Would be hard to do at 6”.
