Spotting scope big eyes use

I just came across the Adam's adapters big eyes setups while reviewing performance of compact spotters. This idea is very interesting and has me wanting one but I wonder about the actual utility for my own hunting type.

I had originally considered some day dropping a ton of money on a swaro btx setup primarily just for scouting and viewing animals from a long ways out, perhaps from my house or when on an atv . The big eyes route seems like it could be a better option if I want to have a multi purpose scope set rather than a really heavy "use only when not actually hunting" scope.

My hunting is primarily backpack hunting elk. Sometimes day trip deer or elk hunting. Hopefully not backpacking as far in as I do now at some point in the future. I typically not take a spotter on my backpack hunts. I'll take one if I think I'll need it for day trips. I definitely could use one for backpack hunts but I'm not lugging a spotter and tripod 10 miles in by myself for a 9 day trip.

All that said, I sold my old subcompact vortex razor because it sucked. I am looking at either Leopold gr 12-40 (or the mark 4 version), vortex 13-39 straight, kowa 55s, or swaro stc. Maybe step up to 65mm because I still don't see packing in a tripod and spotter 10mi in.

Then I come across the Big Eyes spotter setups. Expensive, but it seems like it would be great to go scouting and be able to comfortably glass miles away with both eyes all day long.

Since I have a desire to have a lightweight spotter and a btx or big eyes, it seems that maybe I could get a big eyes setup with one of the compact spotters I've been looking at and when needed, remove one from the mount to take on a hunt. Then I'd also have an extra for my kid, wife, relative, brother, etc.

Does that seem like a smart way to go if I don't mind dropping the extra money?

How far out would I be able to roughly judge size of elk and deer with a 40x big eyes set?

Would it be worth stepping up to a 65mm big eyes? Or at that point just get a subcompact spotter and a swaro btx?

Is the setup/collimation of a big eyes such that after I get them mounted it would be a bad idea to remove one from the mount all the time to take hunting?

Also, my wife and daughter are tiny. So I'm sure that the big eyes setup for me would not work for them and my wife would be like "why did you drop a crap load of money on something only you can use when there's a btx that all 3 of us could have used?"

Well, that was a novel. I may have answered my own questions haha.

Seems like maybe a compact spotter and a btx might be the way to go?
