Mounting a 3x12x40 trijicon huron on a tikka t3x. I see a lot of guys like the sportsmatch,, but lowest option is medium.
I have searched on here for a photo with a 40 objective but can’t find one. I think medium height might be unnecessary for my scope. Any of you guys have a pic of 40 objective scope with SM medium rings ?
My other thought was just using Optilock low or extra low. Any help is appreciated.

The SWFA 6x is a 42; the Rokslide Special thread shows that more than a couple times. 1mm difference in the height of the bottom of the bell off the barrel.

The Sportsmatch T084 rings are perfectly compatible with your 40mm objective Trijicon. I am not aware of Sportsmatch making a low version of 30mm rings with dovetails for Tikkas. I don't think you'd want your scope lower than the medium rings will get you in order to have a good eye alignment & cheek weld on your stock and clearance for running your bolt.

Another option that has recently come to market is the Unknown Munitions Tikka Rings. You can read the thread about them here. I don't have any first hand experience with them yet, so take this with a grain of salt, but from reading the specs it looks like the low UM rings are about the same as the medium T084 rings. Both will fit scopes with up to 50mm objective ends when using an original T3X steel barrel.

Hey Pilger. Did you end up getting your scope mounted? What rings did you go with? Any chance you could share a picture? My dad just bought the same scope for his new tikka t3x and we are trying to figure out rings as well. How do you like the scope? Thanks.
