Speed vs. Momentum. Finding the balance for open country elk.

Arrow # 2 for me. My actual arrow is about 20gr lighter than that.

Arrow 2 or 3. If you don't shoot past 40 then #3. If you do shoot past 40 then #2.

#4 Is what I would choose. I shoot a similar arrow, 515gr for everything. I have a slider sight and practice out to 100 yards with that arrow. No problems shooting it at longer distances.

Not to thread-jack but I have a similar choice right now as well..

My choices are:

459g arrow @ 279fps & 15.63% FOC & 79.36KE

or

434g arrow @ 288fps & 13.88% FOC & 79.95KE

Still not sure what to do lol.. I think I'm going with the lighter setup.. All I'll be giving up is a slight amount FOC and possibly will be very slightly louder, but I already have a high FOC and it's already pretty quiet so feels like the better route to take.. I like speed and smaller pin gaps in case I mis-range a little bit..
