Interesting. So you are saying by the guide next door paid the COs to lie and completely make up 18 different violations ?Plot twist, the only competing guide in the area has the conservation officer on the pay roll.
I’m just a resident B.C. hunter. Not trying to start a big battle on here. Just making people aware of the charges. There has been far too many people poaching in order to fill their pockets lately and quite honestly I’m tired of it. Guide/outfitters should know better. What if dackdack is guide next door?
Im sure its easy for guides to want to poach when they get attorneys to pay them 60k for a sheep hunt.I’m just a resident B.C. hunter. Not trying to start a big battle on here. Their sheep hunts are probably double that.Im sure its easy for guides to want to poach when they get attorneys to pay them 60k for a sheep hunt.
How do you know this is in the reserve? If anyone is curious - this ram was taken in the ecological reserve by the outfitter in question. I have no way of knowing if this hunt is what led to the charges and I doubt the hunter was complicit in any wrong-doing.
Unfortunately that guy will never change. Your last statement is very true about him.I recently phoned a GO into the CO service for having a photo on their website of a dead goat in a goat closed area. I could tell by some distinctive mountains and a lake in the background.
Same guide was convicted of killing a Dall Sheep in the YK and claiming he was in BC... at trial it was determined he was over 10 kms on the wrong side of the border!
Being a good hunter or successful guide doesn't mean you are a good guy... or smart.
