Spam calls are out of control

Does anyone know how to stop the non stop - 5 or 6 phone calls a day saying I’m pre approved for a loan calls?

Is anyone else getting them ?

If you have Verizon, they have a free call filter app.

No way I know of to stop them. I just don't answer an unrecognized number and if it's someone important they will leave a voicemail. However, now the spam A-holes are leaving voicemails saying I am approved for a loan. All you can do is block the number, but they have a bunch of different numbers they can call you from. My Apple phone recognizes lots of them as"SPAM", and I just block it.

Check your phone for call screening functions. Google Pixel series have excellent automatic call screening and decline features. You can setup a whitelist on an iPhone so only your contacts are able to call you.

I get a lot of notices from Verizon that a call has been blocked, but no spam or advertising calls.

iPhone has a setting that only allows numbers in your address book to ring through. It will also automatically add any number you call to the white list.

I've been getting a lot less spam calls since Thailand blew up the call centers in Cambodia a couple of weeks ago.

I use the iPhone setting that only lets known numbers ring. Unknown calls are converted to texts. I see a lot of messages "Hello Mr. ... , Hello"

AT&T has an app called ActiveArmor. I discovered it about 4-5 months ago. I used to get at least 5 spam calls per day, now I get a couple every week and I manually block those. Virtually eliminated spam texts too. It has made my life so much easier.

Check to see what your carrier offers.

Since I changed my phone number last February to a whole new area code, I haven’t seen a single spam call or text. Kinda feel bad for the person who got my old number with everyone calling them that I didn’t want to have my new number and all the spammers.

I get 5-10 a day and it’s highly annoying. I get a ton of work calls from numbers I don’t recognize so I can’t use some of the features that have been suggested here. To make matters worse my phone labeled a legitimate call as “potential spam” last week so now I really have to look closely at the number.

They are terrible and i feel if you answer them, then the calls come in more frequent.

I try really hard not to answer the phone if i don’t know whose calling as they can always leave a message for me to call back

First day after a home related load I received 130 some calls.

I still get a half dozen a day.

Most spam calls are blocked or screened but it’s still annoying. Hopefully someone has a solution

I stopped answering my phone unless I know who it is. I still have to listen to the messages but I can hang up the second I know its a spam call.

I do the same , but they generally don"t leave a message. Most spam calls are blocked by Verizon.
