My wife and I are going tonight.
I don't believe this movie was made to simply be "enjoyed". You don't turn your brain off and watch explosions or fake superheroes. It is far easier to not watch and remain naïve to a serious global problem.I was thinking about going to see, then my friend called last night after seeing it, he said he came out depressed.
You would have to be living under a rock to not be aware of how serious problem a child trafficking is. I will go see it, not to be entertained, or informed, but to see how their messages is delivered. I would hope it will help in some way, But......I don't believe this movie was made to simply be "enjoyed". You don't turn your brain off and watch explosions or fake superheroes. Until our state ran propaganda media sources start reporting the problem nothing will be done.
Anyone here every have your kid run off in a large dept store and you cant find them for 15 minutes that seems like an eternity . Pretty terrifyingMy wife got so upset while we were watching it that she had to go and puke in the theater bathroom.
It wasn't graphic... it was just that reality set in for her when the dad returned to the empty room and all the kids were missing.
The band Soul Asylum had a video to the song "Runaway Train" that dealt with exploited and missing kids/people. This was in the early '90s it was devastating to me then as a young adult.Anyone here every have your kid run off in a large dept store and you cant find them for 15 minutes that seems like an eternity . Pretty terrifying
