Soft topper question

Alright I have been wanting a soft topper for a while now. I have a 19 F150 and found one that is for a 2013 titan. In my internet search it looks like the measurements are close. Has anyone ever bought one for another truck and put it on a different one? Hoping for some insight before I buy it. I am cheap and don’t want to buy a new one.

No experience with the soft topper but I tried a tonneau that was close and it wasn’t close enough. I’d triple check the measurements and mounts and make sure it will fit. I can appreciate saving money, but it’s worthless if it doesn’t do what you need it to do.

If it’s local you can see if you can get it to work.

I have a tonneau cover and I would say it cant be close. It has to be exact. Otherwise mine wouldn't latch.
Maybe I am answering a question you didn't ask because you asked about a soft cover but in the chance you are asking about a tonneau I would stick to the exact model made for my truck to assure proper fit And operation. You hear enough issues guys have with the exact models let alone trying to use one that isnt built for your truck.

Do some googling and see if you can find an old pdf with model numbers before besttop bought them. Several are interchangeable but the last time I checked you couldn't tell that from the website anymore.

Thanks everyone. I have been a little nervous for making the plunge. The topper is about an hour away so not too bad to drive over and test it out.

Thanks! That's what I am nervous about as well. I didn't want it to be too loose and not fit correctly.
