Any chance of being charged tariffs ordering from the website? I just had a horrible experience with ordering from a Canadian company. It does look like they have a warehouse in the US.

It was $5 in tariffs for me.

It does ship from China. I have ordered from that site a few times a year for the last 4 years, I haven’t had my identity stolen or been charged a tariff. Order at your own risk!

Yeah, mine on my PayPal invoice said sales tax but on my order confirmation from Sofirn it said duty. I guess that’s to cover the tarriff now that de minimus exemptions are gone.

The flash sale pricing is based off china so you get hit with that duty. You can order from a usa warehouse but it will cost more than the tariff.

I bought one of each and my duty was 11.55. Still small price to pay for a couple good lights

I posted a thread showing how to swap emitters on an older D25. I’ve opened a lot of the H25/D25 headlamps and quite a few Sofirn handhelds. They are pretty easy to open and good candidates to swap if anyone has an interest in that.

I started repairing some electronics around my house because all the tools fit in a small drawer and its quiet enough that I can do it inside after the kids go to bed. I also am pretty into flashlights, so i got some cheap alibaba soldering supplies to fix a few broken headlamps and flashlights. A lot of my cheaper lights function really well but dont render colors accurately, have a weird tint shift, or I just dont like the LED color. So I have started swapping the LEDs.

Shitty red lights on other headlamps, including relatively expensive ones, have always driven me nuts. They’re almost useless unless you’re on a trail, and then you barely even need a headlight most nights anyway.

Been using the H25LR the last couple years and have been pleased. Good battery life and better light output than other cheap headlamps I've used in the past. Ordered another headlamp and a flashlight.
