I was wondering what socks most southern hunters are wearing with Crispi or other high quality hiking boots for both early and late season?

Darn tough for me, I used to wear the lightweights for early season in Salomon Quest 4Ds but I've recently switched to just wearing the midweight full cushion year round with my Nevadas, I like having the extra cushion and my feet sweat in the lightweights regardless.

I really like darn toughs, but I recently tried out some Minus33 and I think they compete with darn tough, just need to see if they last through the season. They don't have the same warranty as darn tough, but for darn tough you have to account for the shipping to send them back into account.

DT light weight for early warm weather. I also run the mid to heavy weight cushion for mid to late season rifle seasons (adjust accordingly). Hard to beat DT. No slipping, durable, keeps the cool/warm, lifetime warranty. I've got about 8-9 pairs of DT used in combo with Crispi Laponia III, Colorado GT II, and Lowa Tibet (late season).

DT light weight here in NW LA but will switch to the heavyweight hunting socks if temps drop to low 40s and below. Boots are Meindl Comfort Fit 400s

Take your pick from any one of the companies that make merino wool socks. Purchase a pair or two and see if they work for you.

I have more Darn Tough socks than I need. Recently bought a couple pairs of FITS socks. Pretty comfortable, feet don’t feel as sweaty. Doubt they will hold up as well as DTs but they’ve been great for the past 6 months.

Kuiu mid-weight and Point 6. All of my Smartwool have worn out and are pretty much gone. I have a few Darn Tough but never really liked them for some reason. The DT's wear well but I like the fit of Kuiu, Smartwool and now Point 6 better than the DT. Point 6 are made by the founders of Smartwool.
