Had SMR build me a 6.5PRC in their Long Range Hunter Pro 4.0 with a titanium action and a 20” barrel.

SMR is building their own actions and barrels now, TriggerTech Special and XLR chassis might be the only things not made by SMR.

SMR is also making their own suppressors now, but I just got my hands on it this week.
I might do a follow up review on that once I get it out and see how quiet it is.

Let me know what details you want to know about and I’ll include them in the review with my experience with this rifle this fall.
I will try to get all the details on their new F 22 action and the barrels.

My dad recently had a less-than-great experience with an SMR prefit carbon barrel. On install, we checked headspace and were surprised to find the bolt closed on the no-go gauge. We pulled it apart, double-checked our process, and re-torqued the barrel — same result.

When we reached out to SMR, they said "the" gunsmith was out of the office and would call us back in a couple days. We never heard back, so we contacted the retailer, Midway, to start a return. Ordered a Proof prefit instead and headspace measured perfect.

Thanks to Midway for the great customer service.

dang!

you might hear from them now.

Good luck with the Proof prefit. Midway's always been solid for me. Glad they're still around.
