Yup - corn. Look at the eye too.

We get red rat snakes down here that kinda look like copperheads and they can be real aggressive - take a minute to get your bearings while doing the 2-step retreat.

I don't kill snakes unless maybe I find one in the house. Or if you are going to eat one. :)

Real downside to killing a corn snake is that they eat primarily rodents.
Have you found snakes inside your house?

Definitely. We raised 3 meadow voles from pinkies when I saw their mom snatched up by a hawk. Huge rat snake got into the cage and killed Mini Cooper (the runt).

I slammed the snake against the wall, but then took it outside and let it go. It's a snake. It's what snakes do.

Cat caught a baby black racer in the hallway. We eventually plugged all the holes. :)
