Not entirely sure this is the right forum so feel free to delete or move if somewhere else is more appropriate...

I'm hunting Ibex in NM and will probably be solo for most of the time.

Anyone have recommendations on a comfortable snake gaiter? I'd probably skip them if I was hunting with someone but being alone I figure maybe it'd be worthwhile as everyone I've talked to that's had the tag has had some sort of snake encounter/frequent sightings up there.

Open to buying a used pair if anyone has a pair they don't want or want (or wants to loan/rent out for 2 weeks in October). I don't see having widespread use for these as I live in Wisconsin now but also don't want super stiff ones that are gonna suck to walk around in. I'd probably also be open to suggestions on other gaiters that while technically not snake-proof may at least help a bit?

Cheers

I have a pair of Turtle Skin snake gaiters I’ve been happy with. They’re lightweight and comfortable enough for me.

After several recommendations from those that hunt the Florida's yearly, I ordered a pair of the Turtle Skin gaiters. Seems to be the choice of many that hunt the Rock. I have not received them yet so I can't say how quiet they are.

I bought a set from academy that are light. And though I haven’t tested them and hope to never do so. But I can run through briars and not mess up my Sitka.
