Wow, Vienna Sausages are still around? I used to find those cans everywhere in the woods three and four decades ago now I don’t see them very much.

I have to mix up the bars- mostly Kind and RX but like the Oberti smoked sausages and the Foil paks of chicken and flavored tuna.

I like the Rx bars breakfast bars. Better texture than their normal bars. And clean ingredients

I always love shopping for a travelling hunting trip. At home, we eat pretty clean and try to limit junk and sugar. When it's hunting trip time I go shopping and my cart looks like it's Halloween. Snickers, jerky, the candy mix bag of various chocolates, pringles, trail mix, swiss cake rolls, etc. It's always nice to get to eat whatever I want for a week and still lose weight, lol.

PB&J still pack a good punch for me. I also like a good cold cut with different kinds of meat, mayo cheese. Mix some snacks in… I also make the bacon, peanut butter, honey on tortillas occasionally.

I don’t eat heathy at all, definitely not on a hunt. Calories are just a number to this guy. One of these days it’ll catch up to me, hopefully I’ll be too old to care by then.

For my trip last month I dehydrated about thirty pounds of sweet potatoes, a bunch of apples, and made a ton of jerky. Cheap, easy, healthy.

I used the backpacking chef's sweet potato instructions. It was a really nice change from the usual bars.

I also made a brittle of pureed sweet potatoes, shaved coconut, and some maple syrup. I will definitely be making more of that.

For years, Cliff bars were all I ever brought with me, hiking, bouldering, hunting, whatever. Then suddenly I couldn't stand them anymore. So last few times have not brought anything; just stop for bad stuff like candy or other snacks on the way.
