There are plenty on Federal SR match primers available around me, and I am going to use them in a 6.5 creedmoor. I have read there is hesitation taking them down to low temps. My question is has anyone tested this down to some lower temps. Say 10 degrees. I have some large rifle primers I can use for hunting and take the small rifle primers out for practice if low temps are an issue with small rifle primers.

Thanks!

See the thread below. I’ve left a clip out overnight at around 20 below and then shot it. It is common and I routinely hunt around +/-0.

Thanks for the input. I’m going to be using H4350 with this, but the regular small rifle primers and not the magnum small rifle primers. I picked some up so I will give it a go. Maybe kill do some testing with it and report back.

And thanks for the thread link. I’ll read through that!

With H4350 you're probably good. Seems easy enough to avoid any question and use LRP for hunting so that's what I do but if a guy doesn't have LRP brass i wouldn't be too worried about it. IIRC 205s are pretty high on SRP spectrum for how much spark they put out.

Thanks Wind Gypsy. How do they compare to CCI450s spark wise? Any advantage to CCI450 over Fed 205s?
