Does this keep a 3 position (locked bolt on safe) safety?

The pull on mine is adequate, and I’d like to keep the 3 position safety function. I do dislike the stamped safety lever though from a feel standpoint

Me and my two boys have killed a bunch of deer with the 85gr Barnes TSX. My brother uses the 80gr TTSX. We always have dead deer with short blood trails. As has already been said, push them hard and enjoy your venison.

They are pretty wicked. Ive been using them for about 8 years now i think?
They are easy to get an accurate load and the cavity in the base lets you get a good seating depth and higher powder charge.

I killed a bull elk with the 120gr cavity back MKZ out of my 12.5” 6.8. If you are on the 6.8 forums, you probably saw the thread a couple of years ago.

You sounded you like you frequent the 6,8 forum based on your 6.8 knowledge; that is where the CB bullets were born.

Surprisingly not a pass through. The bull was shot at about 40 yards. I did not recover the bullets. I hit him in the lungs three times in very rapid succession. He basically took a step, went to this front knees then rolled over, kicked a little bit and died. It was very fast.

It was warm in AZ, so I was much more concerned about dressing him out as fast as possible than doing a thorough search for the bullets. His lungs were shredded, but the bullets did not pass through the offside ribs; they had to be in his guts somewhere, but again I didn’t look too hard.

I was surprised at the result so I started a thread about it over there, and the consensus was because I was so close, the 120 opened up massively at impact which therefore slowed the bullets down very quickly.

Yea I use to hang out over there for years.
Love the 6.8.
I've only shot deer, coyotes, and hogs with it tho
