Small Bear Taxidermy Ideas

Maybe a small oval or circular bedside rug to step onto when getting out of bed or as a throw for the back of a chair. I'm going on my first bear hunt in May and I'm trying to decide what to do with one if I'm successful as all the options are going to be different cuts when skinning. I think ideally, I'd like a shoulder mount AND the small rug I described above but I don't know how to best skin it to accomplish both or if that's even possible. Thoughts?

Tan the hide and just hang it similar to a wolf skin. I have a small bear hide hanging over the back of a chair in the den.

This is what I did with my small bear. Just a straight tan and then played it over the top of a book case with a few euros sitting on top.
