Looking to add some comfortable living space off the tailgate of my capped truck bed. This seems to be a decent option.
Anyone use one?
Anyone have other ideas?
Thanks.

I have one and it’s pretty awesome. It increases your square footage when truck camping in a major way.
as said above, it is bulky and heavy, but it just goes in the back of your truck, so no big deal. Usually every week on camofire.com they offer them for sale. I believe the price is $75 and it’s well worth that.

Agree with the above...for truck camping, it is the way to go for the $. I set mine freestanding and use it beside the truck as the "kitchen". Stick a folding table with coolers under it and the coleman goes on top of the table. Provides sun and rain protection and a place to chill. Also have a cap/topper on my truck and when it is attached to the truck, the back glass gets in the way when open and muddy tires aren't fun trying to wrap the straps around. I set it and leave it...

I usually just pop the easy up, up, and back my truck up to it. Makes it easy to drive away that way too.
Is the easy up a different brand of canopy tarp?

I like this idea as I had wondered about the sharp corners on the back door messing up the tarp.
Anyone have suggestions of other canopy type tarps I should look at in addition to the Slumberjack?

No the easy up is a 10x10 shelter like vendors use. It is packed last into the truck, or on the roof of the 4runner. It's set up first, with the one wall towards the weather, then the 2 folding tables make an L shape, lantern hung from the peak, stove, and water jug on the tables, coolers, various kitchen bins, gas cans, etc under the tables.
Then I can just drive away, and everything stays sheltered.

Camofire has them on sale today

Something like this? Regular canopy setup with a sidewall

I have a pop-up canopy. It isn't exactly small and compact but doesn't take up too much room and gives a decent accounting of itself.

If you guys are anything like me - you have an extra tent or two laying around - we used an old browning tent as the cook and supply tent on our last trip. The main advantage of the canopy or the tarp is that it helps keep weather off and a separate tent needs to be walked to...
