I just ordered a Nemo Tensor Field for less than a $100. It is rated to 10-20 degrees. Is a few ounces heavier than the xtherm but at least $50 cheaper.

Not gonna lie I like the Nemo field pad but use the vector (discontinued) because the foot pump...ohh the foot pump.

There's nothing quite like climbing 1000 ft by headlamp from trailhead at 9pm after a 10hr workday at sea level to set camp and go light headed blowing up the pad and blow chunks from hypoxia...(ask me how I know lol). I carry the heavier pad just for the pump feature.

I could have done the electric blower but I don't like to use batteries any more than I have to

On the same note xtherm is slightly sturdier and warmer having used both but that foot pump fits with my smash and grab hiking style better.

I use a large neoair xlite (16 ouces) for everything into the mid 20s. Reg size is too narrow for me and the sides collapse. I like keeping my arms on the pad all night. I would think could be an even bigger issue with a quilt keeping your arms off the ground and quilt sealed tight.

Below mid 20's I have a sea 2 summit comfort plus insulated (26 ounces?) that is very warm and comfortable. I'd probably get a large xtherm if doing over to save 6 ounces but the S2S is a bit more comfortable.

Nemo and Exped are the others that are popular. I' seen durability complaints on Nemo. Exped used to have blown baffle issues but seems they got it figured out. They don't match the warmth/size/weight ratios of the thermarest though so I haven't looked at them much.

I found a deal a while back on a klymit static v with insulation. I used it in a hammock with a paria 15 degree quilt in January here in Utah. Temps got down to the 20's and I was good as long as I was on the pad, as soon as my arm or should slipped off, it would get super cold. Decided pads in hammocks weren't good and now I'm switching to a tent. I am a side sleeper and the klymit does okay for me until I can afford an Exped.
