I had a chance to hold and look through both models today in a store. Unfortunately, the ELs felt better in hand. I say unfortunately, cause of the price difference. Just my luck. Lol

There are some good used deals to be found. I've seen some ELs on archery talk. Some other sites have some demos too b

I've bought a few things that required me to spend a little more money than I maybe should have spent, and I usually regret it later, but I have never regretted buying my ELs..

Check Natchez demos. Almost pulled the trigger on the 8x32 but won't have enough time to get outdoorsman stud installed before my hunt!

I have both. The ELs do have a flatter field of view but the SLCs are more ergonomic and comfortable in your hands and lighter. They are also brighter in the field allowing more light transmission. I have use them both side-by-side for years now and you can't go wrong with either. I personally like the SLC is better

I've spent a few hours behind both. My eyes could not tell the difference between the glass. I ended up choosing the SLC because it felt better in my hands. Can't go wrong with either. Life doesn't suck if these are you problems!

Gotta go with what feels more confortable for you! Both models are a significant investment. I felt the EL's were perhaps a bit sharper around the edges, but I liked the weight and ergos of the SLCs and they are certainly fine glass as well. I also liked that the SLCs are very easily adapted to tripod mounting, just pop out a cap and you're good.

A few months ago I was in the market for either of these, I certainly would have been happy with either the SLC's or EL's. I ended up finding a smoking deal on the EL's on here and bought them for less than the price of the SLC and couldnt be happier. As everyone else has said, you'll be pleased with either on.
