I have two. I bought a solid for everyday wear and loved it so much i bought a camo version exclusively for hunting.

They cover a LOT of ground from a temperature perspective. Not built for busting brush, but on all other fronts I’m a big fan.
Didn't find them to be to warm for high exertion moments?

I only wear the thinnest wool shirt I have (150) when I’m climbing hard. Even with that I’ll be sweating my azz off. For “normal” hunting though,….nothing breathes better than the ambient line imho.

I’m not saying you won’t sweat at all while wearing it. What I am saying is nothing in the clothing world that provides the same level of warmth while still moving perspiration.

I picked one up on clearance and I've got to say, it's one of my favorite pieces. Breathes decent but still warm. I can move in it a little if needed if say I'm still hunting slowly and not overheat. It's really warm with a shell over it. Good down to 30 sitting probably without a wind and a layer or two under it.

*Edit - I have a 150 GSM not 200. I bet that 200 is toasty but I think it would be tough to move in unless very cold. If it was floating around zero and I was hiking it might be the bomb. Idk - 150 seems more versatile.

I bought the old model (150?) on clearance last year. Been wearing it as a mid layer under my Stratus. Although it looks flimsy (you can see light thru it), it is very warm. Usually wear a core lightweight tee, then a heavyweight hoodie, the Ambient, then the Stratus. Hunting stationary in the mid 20s, no issues. I am 6’3”, 200 pounds and normally wear an XL. Since I always intended to wear the Ambient as a mig layer, went with a large. Perfect fit, has some stretch. I am sure the 200 is even warmer, kinda pricey though.
