When I say penalty, all I mean is that it is more than the alternative option.
If I remember correctly the nomad XC is 1.5 ounces heavier. I did a comparison in this thread.

Gotcha. That's helpful. Thank you.

OOS here - local Scheels sold their last one on Friday. Said they have 40 more on order, not sure when they expect them to arrive.

They were completely out of TBAC as well with no ETA for current orders.

I blew my Scythe up in September on a 20-inch 300 PRC. I'd had approximately 3,000 rounds of 6.5CM and .308 on it and it lasted 15 shots on the .300. They got it back to me within a week and still one of my favorite cans, but I won't be shooting it on any short barreled mags anytime soon. I'm excited to see how this Dead Air Nomad Ti XC does. So far, so good, and with the SiCo Ti direct thread HUB mount, it's only 1/10 ounce heavier than the Scythe
Were these weights taken with both suppressors clean? If so, that's pretty cool the ti xc is only 0.1 heavier. The results of that one in the 2024 suppressor summit are really impressive.

Not perfectly clean but very low round count on both. This was after the scythe was rebuilt, so two brand new cans basically.

Agree, SiCo needs to say something. Anyone researching the scythe will undoubtedly see Rokslide pop and probably find this thread or the failure thread since “failure” is in the title.

Many times not saying anything is worse. Who knows though, maybe they are researching the failures and aren’t sure on what’s going on yet, idk. What I do know is there are/were people wanting to pull the trigger on a scythe but are now looking elsewhere or waiting, I’m one of them.

Seeing these failures and no acknowledgement from manufacturer of being out of spec or a known manufacturing issue has me steering clear. A suppressor is such an investment due to ATF that I am unwilling to sacrifice a couple ounces of its unreliable.

Anyone happen to have a weight on the si co brand ti flush end cap (and hole caliber)? I have the weight of the hanson bros cap (18grams, .223), but they are out of stock, and I don't want to get scalped by si co for well over $100, especially if it's a heavier cap.

Are u sure those weights are for the front cap? I think those are the rear end cap/ direct thread weights.

They're on the forum somewhere, a long with the 223 aperture diameter. I just can't remember what thread. The same info is also available for hansohn in the same thread.
