Scythe Ti owners: Have you had a Scythe Ti catastrophic failure?

I don’t think anyone is saying the rates in this thread are statistically significant for all scythes. But what we are saying is there’s a big problem and they aren’t admitting it.

Even if it’s 1% thats too many for something that is safety related like this. And it being a can it sucks to pay a stamp wait (luckily not as long) and do the paperwork to get one and have it blow up. It’s awesome they are fixing them, but still disappointing they are acting like nothings wrong.
Exactly, I plan is to change nothing and continue with my 3rd "new" Scythe and see if I get a 3rd failure. My broken can is supposed to get to them tomorrow, I will update here when they get back to me to confirm they are supplying me a replacement/repaired can.

Wow that’s nuts. I saw a “creedmoor” powered 22” yesterday that failed….that one surprises me. That’s not a high powered magnum round. I think the first I’ve seen here.

I received my suppressor before finding this thread. Today I inspected the anchor break and found a bur/blemish inside the bullet channel (not sure if that’s what it’s called). Should this be something to be concerned about, especially shooting 30cal? Has anyone seen this before? It’s new and unfired.

Personally I’d say no.

Anyone using the Scythe extensively on the 30-06? I don’t see it mentioned much (at all?) in the failure reports. Just wondering if that’s because it’s below the magnum threshold or simply a lack of usage data. (I know the ‘06 is totally uncool these days…)

I’m in the camp of ‘bought the damn thing about a week before the failure reports started rolling in. Too late now!’ Also bought a Mathews Lift right before widespread limb failures began. So I’ll take the blame for this one boys! 😂

I almost bought the Scythe back in December. But, rightly or wrongly, I decided the reports of failures on 6.5 PRC suggested to me a chopped 30-06 was at risk. I went with a Banish Backcountry instead, which I'm sure is uncool and doesn't pass some Rokslide standard. (I guess that makes it an appropriate fit for the old war horse). That can just came in yesterday, so I haven't got to shoot it yet.

I'm still interested in how the Scythe is fairing overall and on the 30-06 in particular as I think it's about the perfect hunting can on paper. The ATF approved me in 3 business days, which makes me think I will likely buy another hunting-focused can at some point since the process has gotten A LOT shorter than it was seveal years ago.

Nothing wrong with backcountry and/or rokslide. Many just don’t like dealing with silencer central. I’d have one if I could get one at an outside dealer for sure.

Just got my 2nd scythe approved today. First one has like 1500rds through it, mostly 6.5 and 7PRC hand loads not going slow. No issues thus far thank God.
