ON X Maps Time of Year

Is there anyway of knowing what month you’re looking at when on onx? Be helpful to know when looking at trail heads and getting a gauge on how many vehicles are there on which months.

Go to Basemaps and then turn on recent imagery. You can cycle through in two week increments.

The recent imagery in onX is lower resolution, so nearly impossible to tell. I checked my main camp spot and could see a faint white spot on Sept 1, which is my Jumping Jack trailer tent that is pitched. Normal satellite imagery is 1 meter or sub-1 meter resolution, allow you to see cars. From what I recall when doing research, that's only updated about once a year.

You can buy really up to date 30cm resolution satellite images for ~$24 per square kilometer. That might be worth it to you!
