If you’ve experienced catastrophic failure of the Scythe Ti, please post the following:

1. Cartridge or cartridges used with approximate round count

2. Barrel length

3. Factory ammo, hand loads or both

4. Details of ammunition

5. Details of failure (to include failure point and pics)

You need to throw up a "yes" in the poll!

Well I got mine in last week. Guess I will follow this thread, so far so good for me but 7 shots isn't even enough for me to vote.

Is there a known failure issue with these?
Not exactly sure where the first one is, but seems like there are 5 or 6 reported from here through current in this thread.

My NO is compromised of about 300ish rounds. A mix of a 21" 6.5cm running a moderate load, maybe 50 rounds, and a 22" 243 running hot loads for about 250ish rounds.

No (not yet??)
500ish rounds consisting of 12” 556, 18” 7prc, 18” 22-250, 16” 556, 16” 6 arc and a little bit of 10.5” 300blk.

Probably close to 40-50% of that is the 18” 7prc with a stout load of N570.

A no for me , but my brother had one come apart last wekend. Probably only 2-300 rounds fired. Looked the one in the picture. Must be a weld issue on some.
