For somebody who dosent even own one, you sure do chime in a lot with your quick one liners about it.Well at least it's under a 1% failure rate![]()

This really has you ate up, huh?

Well luckily for you, there are lots of great options out there other than the scythe. Maybe get the dead air nomad Ti Xc.I almost owned one—it checked all the boxes I was looking for in a suppressor. Well except one, thanks to this thread.
I think it's the 1% failure rate that eats him up. I'm guessing he thinks its higher. Crazy thing is, how many people own this can and how there is only this thread really that emphasizes it's failures. I think it's much closer to 1% than the 11% this thread shows. I can not say for certain tho. I know plenty of guys with them and no failures. Having said that, it really is the perfect can minus this thread. Checks a bunch of boxes. For somebody who dosent even own one, you sure do chime in a lot with your quick one liners about it.
That’s about all we can do. I’m going to keep shooting mine, I just won’t take it on any trips. If it lets go, it lets go.I just keep plugging away, sending rounds in 10-12rd strings with bout 45 seconds waiting between shots. It'll fail eventually, I'm certain of that. When it does I'll get it fixed, that simple. I do have backup supressors.
the older I get, the more I look at situations like theses and figure the simplest answer is probably the right one. Either it’s 1% like SiCo says, or it’s much much higher according to some random person on the internet.I think it's the 1% failure rate that eats him up. I'm guessing he thinks its higher. I shoot mine as I do my other cans. No failure yet, but I will gladly report it if it does. I cant wait to compare it to my OG. Hopefully next weekend. It only sat in Atf jail for 2 days but I'm en route to the beach for a week.
I think one thing to consider is the round count of the members that are posting, not uncommon to see 1,000 rounds in that thread, and I bet the average hunter that may encompass a big majority of Scythe owners may not shoot that volume in 10-15 years. This forum is a different world than the Facebook groups.Crazy thing is, how many people own this can and how there is only this thread really that emphasizes it's failures.
Another shooting session “Proof of life”
112 rounds of 6.5 PRC

Hunters Drill and shooting rocks… the 6UM is probably a bigger test being six more grain of powder. I keep waiting but she keeps on ticking. This is one of the early models don't know if that matters or not.Just because it’s been suggested by SiCo, what kind of firing schedule for this session? Hard to believe yours is going strong with PRC yet others are blowing up with 308 or creedmores…
Edit to add: I say that as someone who has a scythe and is struggling to trust it with my 18” 6.5 Creedmore.
Mines got quite a few with an 18” 7prc, 11.85” 556, and 136 with an 18” 6 creed. I shoot it on everything but those are probably the most abusive. Several hundred between the 3 of them. No issues yetJust because it’s been suggested by SiCo, what kind of firing schedule for this session? Hard to believe yours is going strong with PRC yet others are blowing up with 308 or creedmores…

It's Tanya's 6UM Hog rifle.What’s with the smurf barrel?!?
What is the purpose of the athletic tape all over the rokslide/S2HU rifles? See it on the barrels and scopes of it seems like every one.Another shooting session “Proof of life”
