I have a banish 30 as well and it’s my least favorite silencer for a few reasons. Firstly, it’s nearly as expensive as many top tier options. I know the price has dropped since they came out with the v2 but when I got mine I believe it was 1099.00, that’s what I paid for my ultra 7, more than I paid for a scythe and about what I paid for my Ti xc.
Secondly, and most importantly. Silencer central managed find ways to make the banish 30 (and 223 and most of their other silencers) cheaply and then trick people by claiming the short cuts as features. What I mean is that the threaded front cap and the loose baffle stack are much faster, easier and cheaper than producing fully welded silencers (like a TBAC ultra 7), they throw in a 2” tube that threads on and make you think you’re lucky to be able to go from 7 to 9 inches and then take it apart to clean it.
Very few people switch back and forth from the short to long configuration and disassembling the silencer to clean it simply isn’t something that needs to be done.
It’s just cheaper to thread and make a cap than welding it properly. What the banish 30 offers is not features or upgrades, it’s ways they cut corners to save money…..but the damn thing still costs as much as a good silencer.
My banish 30 is just on my truck/boat gun, it basically lives in the floor of my truck. It’s also permanently fused into the 7” configuration, I can’t get it apart. There is something rattling around inside of it too but I can’t get it apart to investigate.
Waste of money 100%
