Im about to order a new Spot Hogg Hunter 5 pin. What are your thoughts on pin size arrangement?
Im thinking 20-.19, 30-.19, 40-.19, 50-.10 and 60-.10. looking for any pros and cons on this set-up, also this is for a hunting set up. Thanks

You shouldn't have a problem with the .019's all the way out. It is personal preference though, as it doesn't effect your sight picture at that yardage all that much.

I have the exact setup your thinking of- 20 and 30 yd pin is .19 green (only 2" different POI so I just shoot one pin for both yardages) 40 .19 green 50 .19 red and 60 and 70 both .10 green. I do like the smaller pins at longer ranges is seems to help me focus in a little more. The .10 are harder to see in low light is the only thing I don't like.

I like the sound of your set-up and agree with graylight that .019s will be sufficient all the way out HOWEVER if you feel like you want to adjust your pin sizes here is what I like:

.029 -- green
.019 -- green
.019 -- red
.010 -- green
.010 -- green

Green fiber seems to gather more light to my eye and the red in there helps break things up for faster pin acquisition. In lower light your .010s are going to be harder to see BUT so will your target so there is your trade off. My 2 cents.

At the yardages your thinking about, 19's will be fine all the way. At 60 yards a 19 will cover about 4" of the target and a 10 will cover about 2" of the target.
