Anyone else heard of issues with the Sig P320 firing uncommanded?

I just watched this on YT and have an XTen model.

I'm wondering if there is any corrective action from Sig? Does it only happen with certain calibers/frame sizes? What should owners do if anything?

This has been culminating for years. I sold my XTen a year and a half ago. Sig will not do anything. They are in complete denial. If it was me, I would get rid of it. Or hold onto it until there is maybe an all new fcg. I wouldn't feel very good dumping it on someone when now it's very apparent there is some kind of problem.

Sig is in trouble now. 320s are being banned from numbers of shooting clubs, training sites, and ranges. Not to mention various Agencies dropping them and now a possible loss of military contracts....

There's enough smoke for there to almost certainly be fire. I'd get rid of anything 320 based out of an abundance of caution. Guy uploaded a video yesterday of simulating different circumstances to get his factory 320 to go off. He managed to do it 5x in a row under circumstances that doesn't seem farfetched.

I wonder if gun dealers would even take them in trade? I guess if they're selling them new they might take it in trade?!? Might have to give that a try.

I am guessing every dealer worth a damn is aware of this. I now have a $700 paperweight. There is no way I'm carrying this with one in the pipe, I guess i could carry it this fall w/o a round in the chamber?!?

Some good info over in the 1911 thread on it.

I just put a Brower 1811 grip on my M18 and it shoots so well. I used to carry it in the woods but I switched to carrying the P365 when I caught wind of this issue about a year ago. Strictly a range and home defense gun now.

From what I've gathered, it's an issue that effects all models of the P320. Regardless of manual safety or not.

This has been well known since the initial military trials. Sig has been trying to fight these allegations about the p320 for its entire existence. Actually, nearly every Sig firearm from the last ten years has had recalls and redesigns stemming from firing without a trigger pull.

There have been dozens if not hundreds of suits against Sig for these guns going off in holsters. Dozens of people including police officers have been injured by these guns. This is just the first time a member of the U.S. military has been killed by their holstered P320 firing uncommanded. Coming on the heels of an FBI report that proved unequivocally that the p320 could fire in a holster, this looks like the end. Hopefully this finally brings Sig down and makes them pay for the lying and covering up the dangers of their product(s) that culminated in the death of a service member due to their greed and negligence.

Ranges are banning them in droves, and gun stores across the country are putting stop notices on purchasing or consigning P320s.

Sig had issues before with discharging if dropped/falling obviously thats why there was the voluntary trigger replacement. But now it has gained more notoriety of sigs issue with how many accidents are happening. My buddy has a 320 he built himself and is a great pistol shoots awesome built for a range gun but he's been on me for years to buy one and I told him until all sigs issues are figured out I won't be owning a 320 id buy a 226 in a heartbeat though
