Sig Oscar 6 HDX Pro Stabilized Spotting Scope Tested and Reviewed

I would like to know if it is capable of making a clear read of mirage to read wind speed and direction at max magnification. I am the novice student on this subject. I know enough to be made fun of in public.

The Oscar 6 has enough magnification to read mirage in most conditions.

if you are a high alpine mule deer hunter would you rather have the Oscar or go with a Swaro ATS 20-60x65?

When do you prefer to use that over a standard tripod/spotting scope set up?

There are a number of scenarios where the stabilization was appreciated, but my favorites were:

1. Glassing from a vehicle.

2. Sharing one tripod with a partner, and glassing while the partner shoots off the tripod.

3. Glassing on a lightweight tripod in heavy winds.
