I do my own processing. And grind hundreds of pounds of burger a year. But with that said if a shoulder gets destroyed so be it. I usually aim for behind the shoulder. But if I loose a shoulder not a big deal. Normally have plenty of meat
I do the same and of the same thought process. I generally try to not take the shoulders out but if it happens or it is necessary, I’ll deal with it. However, if I was a hunter that only hunted whitetail deer, and could only take a few a year, this is not the bullet I would use and would only hunt with a 223.
I’m ecstatic to use this on elk and what ever other tags I have this year. It appears to make massive wound channels with minimal recoil.
