Sierra 116 TMK Load Data

Some more load testing 116 tmk h4350 6cm. 40.4 obviously had the best group but had a round that was really high and really low speed so it had a 17 SD but the 40.2gr had an SD of 5

Above - 116TMK in a 27.5 inch Dasher PRS rig. N140. I only loaded to 29.0 N140 - will add some more powder and try some more. N140 does not equal Varget but close.

6-284. I loaded 8 rounds from 54 to 57.5 of N570 looking for pressure. No heavy bolt lift or signs of pressure on the brass that I could tell.

Shooting off a bipod off the tailgate in the wind. I'm going to load somewhere around 56.5-57 and shoot for groups and true velocity.

What’s your barrel length?

No velocity yet, round 7 was a called flyer, shown low in the pic. No pressure signs. 16" 6CM, 7.5 twist, 41gr H4350, BR-4, Lapua (I said Lapua just like JVB for extra credit) brass.

The 9 shots measure 7/8" center to center top right hole to bottom hole excluding the flyer. 1.5" counting the flyer.

Anyone loaded these in a 6 arc? I got my barrel throated long and the 107s are jumping a mile figured i'd give some of these a try

I’ve got some loaded for my 6 arc. Just waiting for a day when I have time to go test them. I’ll for sure be posting my results here.

Followed up today, this will be the load if the SRP doesn’t go any better.
I did pop a primer on the 11th shot today. No previous pressure signs prior to this. It could be primer pocket, it was the second firing on this star line brass. It was 59 degrees here in AK while I was shooting. So anybody that shoots that, be aware lol

Im glad I decided to try these 116's in the 6 arc. They shoot better then the 107's and the speeds aren't terribly low. Tried n540 for the first time, worked up from 26.3 to 27.5 with no pressure signs. 27.5 shot the best so I went up to 27.8. Still no pressure and they shot great, under 3/4" for 5 shots with a 10.5 es. Sticking there unless i get to feeling froggy later on.

One of my PRS buddies runs 6ARC in a bolt rifle and he runs 110Atips

Mines a 18" barrel so definately not getting all the performance like a prs rig but the bullet should perform well for the ranges ill use it at.

That’s encouraging to hear. If the velocity is on the tape, I can’t read it. And are you single feeding? That’s looong.
