San Diego butcher/taxidermist

Hello. Wondering if anyone has any experience or recommends any butchers or taxidermists in or around San Diego county? Planning to have a couple deer and an elk tag this year that I will be driving to and driving the meat/head or rack back for mounting. Trying to get any info ahead of time this year, Thanks.

I believe Green Acres in Simi Valley is the closest butcher that will process wild game meat. I’m based out of OC and contemplated using them many years ago. Purchased my own grinder, vertical smoker & sausage stuffer. Able to make bratwurst, jerky, summer sausage, etc all at home. If you enjoy cooking, I’d take over the process yourself.

Bearded Butchers have a great YouTube series to get started. They have “kits” on their website as well for foolproof recipes that are pretty solid.
