Side x Side (UTV) Brands

2013 Polaris Ranger. It's been a solid S&S. I'm considering a newer one with a sealed cab enclosure. Tired of the dust!1000001349.jpg

2023 Can Am HD9. Added the doors this spring and that was an awesome upgrade. Been a solid machine and a big difference over my 2015 Pioneer 500 I sold.

Having owned or driven all of them. I would say Honda will be your most durable, Polaris will be the most quiet and cooler (temperature) ride and smoother. Also you can get a full hard cab with Polaris which is hard to beat. You will definitely find more Polaris on the used market as well. The 2015 Polaris has over 20k miles on it now but it's about shot. I wouldn't want to buy a used one with over 3k miles unless you know the owner took very good care of it.

Can am hd10 limited, ranger 1500 crew north star, or Kawasaki ridge crew xr hvac?

Anyone have a preference on one of these and why? Obviously the Ranger 1500 is more expensive, is it worth the $ ?

I have a 24 lonestar maxx. I Had one issue with it when i first got it since then i have put about 1100 miles on it in just about a year with no problems.

My RMAX easily handled 4 hunters, gear, and a whole cow elk last year…only thing I did was adjust the shock setting to be a little stiffer.
What year is your RMAX?
How many miles does it have?
Is it the RMAX1000 mode?

I’m looking into the 25’s for hunting and general back country use.

Mine is a 2024 Rmax4 1000 - purchased new in July of 2024. So two full hunting seasons with it so far.

When not out hunting it basically sets in the garage and only gets driven around the subdivision every couple of months so it only has 819 miles on it so far.

I have a 2019 ranger XP1000 crew cab with 32’s that is an absolute workhorse that I bought used that I won’t be replacing for a loooong time.
Paid $1,700 for it already kitted out with lights and everything and it still looked new.

Second machine is a 2018 Polaris general 1000 2 seater with 30’s and gear reduction that I take when I go to the mountains that can climb like a beast.

Both have been great and have had literally no problems since I’ve had them except for the brake pressure switch sensor which only takes 10 minute and $20 to replace

My Polaris General has been good.

Shop dealer network as much as the unit.

I would have to drive past 5 Polaris dealers to get to a Honda or Canam dealer. Yamaha has 1/4 of as many around here but one close enough to my house and cabin to be fine.
