SHV/Other Dialing Scope Zero Retention Question

I’ve got a 4-14 SHV F1 and I’m curious if I should do anything to preserve my zero… I’ve never loved that the scope, in this case, retains zero with just two set screws on the elevation turret which could slip.

Does anyone use any thread locker on the turret set screws? I’m always paranoid that two little set screws are the lowest hole in the bucket to preserving my zero.

There’s an o-ring on these specific set screws to keep moisture out, and I don’t know if nail polish would degrade it. I thought about a little sharpie mark under the turret on the brass turret body? Any other ideas?

I have that same scope. I bounced it and the rifle on the concrete floor from work bench height. It dinged up the elevation turret, but thats it.
Held zero just fine. I think its had that zero 5 years now, maybe more.

I’m saying like I trust it that way but there’s two set screws that could theoretically slip on every spin of the turret.
