Show your Tikka ten round groups

How fast are you guys putting the ten down range?

Edit - I am generally comfortable with saying five rounds per minute.

I load 3) 4 round mags. Shoot 4, swap, shoot 4, swap, shoot 2. I've never timed it, just a comfortable pace, but I don't wait unnecessarily either.

Thanks! Good to know. Very new to shooting so didn't know if you guys let the barrel cool down or anything

Good modern barrels don’t need to cool down to shoot well. There’s a long thread about it around here.

I typically switch rifles every ten rounds for the sake of the throat and to let mirage dissipate. My normal range routine is 10 centerfire, 50 rimfire, 10 centerfire, 50 rimfire, etc. On days I have a good reason, I sometimes I will just swap centerfire rifles back and forth.

Good to know, I'll go dig up that thread

Not a 10 round group, but these 20 are proving to me a "realistic" idea of what accuracy I can expect. This is off sandbags on bench, will recheck from field positions. Also, gives me great confidence when I slip turrets to zero this up that my shot on game is gonna be somewhere in this cone. Rifle is a T3x 7-08, everything factory except mountain tactical trigger spring. This was shooting box norma whitetail ammo.

Edited to add rifle details.

That’s a great rifle and your fundamentals look sound. Now it’s on you to practice in field positions.

Nice. What are the build details? And is 6.5 CM about the lightest cartridge you can run in NRL Hunter due to power factor requirements? I don't know much about it.

12 round group at 330 yards prone off backpack
4.5” I believe 1.3 MOA. Rifle shoots 1.7 for 10 round groups at 100 yards. Point of aim far right side 3:00 on the 6”‘paper plate.

Tikka lite 16” RS UM rings Maven 1.2 shot on 7 power U7 TBAC win 55gr sp IMG_1643.jpeg

This is buddy 6.5CM Bergara Premier. maven RS. Win 125 OT. Two different boxes of ammo uncertainty same lot. If you only rely on 3 shots you may be fooled as he shoots my Tikka 223 to 6” at this distance. Yeah that 3 shot group would’ve .30 MOA at this distance.

Had to rezero after my windage slipped going into the last stage of a local PRS match.

Adjusted turrets and sent another 10 with 1x Starline. Elevation seems a bit high as I think I was starting to hold on the hole instead of the dot. The outside shots were the last 4.
