Show your Tikka ten round groups

Been using this load since 2017 is a couple 6.5 Creedmoors. Lapua brass, CCI 450s, RL-26. Though I've found RL-16 is within 30 FPS of what RL-26 got me so I save my RL-26 for my WSMs now.
That’s awesome I’ll keep that one in mind if I’m ever lucky enough to get some reloader powders.

Have not touched the barrel channel. I did pull it out of the stock just to take a look at that Mickey Mouse recoil lug setup before I fired it. The action screws were loose. I loosely re-assembled, bounced the butt on the floor (with feeling) a couple of times, and then torqued them both to 45in/lb with my Fat Wrench. Figured I’d bust the plastic bottom metal but no. I tell ya these things are something. I’ve got customs I have $1000’s in with custom actions and expensive barrels, hours and hours of my own work standing over a lathe. I can’t do any better. Sort of disgusting, actually. Guess I’m a fan boy now but I do curve my hat bill
45 inch pounds is important for tikka accuracy.

If you want to get serious shoot off a benchrest with proper stand and bags, it rules out all the variables

I can’t bring myself to buy benchrest stuff yet, I’m thinking more along the lines of an atlas super cal with sled feet. I already use my sand schmedium as an eared rear bag when trying to head precise as possible.

You will probably shoot better off a bag on top of a brick than the fanciest bipod

Harris bipod and a bit of jeans leg filled with sand today in the mud.
When the ground is hard a bipod bounces and you get more vertical

Something like this costs FA and really makes a difference especially when you think that I bought it prolly 30 something years ago

Tikka T3x lite 30-06. Chopped to 20” and threaded by Kampfeld. Wearing Banish Backcountry. Shot at 100 yards off javelin bipod.

ETA: Factory stock with vertical grip. I dremmel out the barrel channel to free float it and added Limbsaver recoil pad. With the can, it’s a very shootable rifle.

Factory Tikka 6.5 creed superlite barrel, cut to 21” and threaded by Denali Arms set in RokStok w/ a RS1.2.
Was having weird pressure issues w/ 147 eldm factory ammo (same stuff as another thread mentions, with same rifle/barrel and ammo… I think that’s 3 or 4 of us now) but accuracy was fine and pretty consistent POI still. Cleaned the chamber/throat area because it’s been a long while and the above issues made me curious if it would help.
Decided to put a box of 140 eldms down the tube to see if I had same problems with it and to foul things up before trying 147s again.
You can see the first 4 shots things were settling back in, and settle in they did… 16 shots in the middle there!

Tikka UPR with Bartlein barrel 6.5 Creedmoor. This is zero load development just 41.5 grains H4350 and 143 ELDX.

Also ran through KYL rack at 600 yards with this load.

Barrel has less than 100 rounds. It will tighten up.
