From a new Tikka T1x. I've only put about 150 rounds through it so far and am waiting for the weather to warm up a little more to try some higher priced ammo to shoot at 100 yards.

I had a pretty groovy morning at the range today, despite challenging, gusting, 15-20mph winds.
I got my .223 RSS sighted & velocity correction done at 500yds & verified my Swede after installing her in the VG stock.

I figured I'd take a punt at the grouping, while I was there.

I was looking for this damn thread the other day and couldn’t find it. No I’m not a google foo master! Anyway here’s a 10 shot group out of a 243 8 twist and 105s. Hole bottom left was a previous target.

Tikka t3x .223, swfa 3-9, stockys vg, 16" barrel, and diligent defense enticer sti, federal 77 tmk. This is shots 2-10 (9 rounds) on a brand new barrel. Shot 1 was the bore sight. The low shot, marked as 1, was shot 2 out of the new barrel, so might have been a slight fouling shot.

My first Tikka, assembled per the recipe here, did not disappoint.

Bought a Superlite in 300 WSM as a potential project gun for a 6UM or 6-7 PRC. But I think I may just keep it as a 300 WSM until barrel is shot out

Looks like the 11” twist works for that bullet. I think you just helped me make up my mind about a Tikka 300 WSM.

First 9 rounds fired from a new just bought T3. 147ELDM/40g H4350 BTOJ 2.302-2.301 to accommodate mag length

3(2rnd grp) 1(3rnd grp) @ 100m. Underwhelming but I will start playing with charge and depth after a some more break in.

Changed it up today and stretched it out. 1094 yards with the .223. Full disclosure - the group is bigger than just on the steel. I had a few off the right edge trying to get the wind figured. First time shooting a .223 at these distances for me though - not a lot of feedback from the bullets at that point.
