Pressure Test: H4350/Barnes 175 LRX - 12 Shots total. ***Some charges are above book max and may not be safe in other rifles*** Slightly heavy bolt lift at shot 8 (67.0 gr). Moderate pressure signs at 67.5 gr and above. Velocity range was 2813 FPS (63.5 gr) - 3091 FPS (69.0 gr). Current load is at the Barnes book max of 67.1 gr (3012 FPS Avg @ 165 rounds fired). All shots from a bench with front/rear bags at 100 yds.

I tried telling my tikka 6.5 PRC roughtec ember that it is not allowed to shoot better than the full custom 6.5 PRC costing 3x as much that I have built, but it will not listen.
Picked 3 different powders, 2-3 grains under max book loads, and let her eat this morning. So much for load development.

New to this thread but interested to watch. I did load development for a savage model 11 243 and got it to shoot decent but later decided I wanted to shoot a higher bc bullet to buck the wind. With the savage only being 9 1/4 twist I was worried it wouldn’t handle the 108 eldm’s or Berger’s so I jumped ship and bought an 8 twist t3x. Still having over 100 rounds for the savage I decided to shoot them up and break the barrel in before I do load development on the tikka. My results make me question if I should try anything else.

95 g. Berger classic hunter
45.0 g. 7828 ssc
Lapua brass
Cci 200 primers

Gun:
8 twist 243
Vertical grip
Um rings
Swfa 3x15
Mountain tactical trigger spring

I am excited to see how this gun will perform when I actually do load development for it instead for another gun.

I was seeing some pressure signs on my brass at what I thought was a moderate charge weight of H1000. So I loaded up 30 rounds of 147 eldms, with varying charge weights of h1000 from 54-56 grains, using different combinations of varying neck bushing sizes, inside case necks lubed/not lubed, and annealed not annealed.

For shits and giggles wanted to see what the 30 rounds would group like even with the differences above. Looks like at 100 yards, none of intricate details really matter when your gun likes a powder/bullet combo

This was shot with my T1x at 200 yards. I hadn't used Ballistic X before and could have taken a much better photo. I'm quite pleased with the numbers and am going to make some scope adjustments and get a lot more practice off of my pack and trekking poles.

T3X Lite 6.5 creedmoor, factory stock, widened the barrel channel, action torqued to 55 or 65 in lbs (can't remember which), added vertical grip and limbsaver pad.
Trijicon Tenmile HX 3-18 x 50 sfp, UM 30mm low rings.
The load is 140gr sierra match kings, Lapua srp brass, CCI BR4 primers, 40gr IMR4451.

It's impossible for a tikka not to be accurate, i have never owned one but i am 100% sure these rifles are all 0.5 MOA max with any ammo. They also have better actions than many custom ones and their stock is one of the best factory stock in the market. They are also so lightweight that you can shoot one handed from standing no problem and there is no problem with such thin barrels because, while hunting, you just need the first shot. Everyone who buys a custom rifle would just be served as well or better with a 1000 dollars tikka. People on forums aay that so it must be true!!
