Show me your elk rifle and weight?

280AI w/Mark 5 HD in Hawkins rings. 8 lbs on the dot with full mag. Here she is about 1/2 a pound lighter (SWFA 3-9 in Talley LW's) on my last elk hunt.

Cooper 92

Seekins Havak Element 6.5 PRC, Harris bipod, Hill People Gear stock cuff, Red Hill Tactical dope card. And I must be clear about this: I am NOT an expert. I'm a newbie and I'm honestly sort of a poser. I have a perfectly good $900 Tikka T3x Superlight but this rifle thing got under my skin. I have never shot an elk, although I've had many high-potential encounters in the 4 outings I've done. And I've had a crap ton of fun. And a cool rifle will improve my chances, right? 😆

Mine is with scope.700 action lightened by kempfeld and heavily fluted barrel, the perfect weight to me for a long range rifle.

300 win, Howa 1500 in an oryx chassis, 6-24x50 Razor AMG, sitting at 10.5lbs (helps with the buck fever twitch). Shooting 150 gr TTSX at 3260fps.

I am planning my first rifle elk hunt. I have not hunted out west before. Is there a tripod that works both for binos and rifle? Am I overlooking something obvious? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
