Just bought some Berger bullets from Smknbro_100 and while I'm sending the funds I get a text from a [email protected] telling me to send him the funds. Called him out and now can't access the texts.
I'm fairly certain I didn't put my phone number in my profile which is how he said he got my number. (929)322-4413 is his number.
People really piss me off sometimes.
Just to be clear.. I'm sure Smknbro_100 had no idea someone was trying to hijack his sale. This close to not bothering with classifieds anymore.
Still waiting to hear.

Can’t hurt to check but at this point I’d suspect your number is in some scammer shared database!

It'd take a lot more computer savvy than I possess to keep all my info. out of the hands of low-life scumbag-faced, inflatable doll screwin', mom's basement dwellin' pieces of moldy shit that are out there.
And if anybody take offense to that it's probably you I'm talking to.
Sorry..
Rant over.

I just got screwed by a guy using this method. Felt sketchy and I should have listened to my gut. The PayPal he used was SteveHudson287. Venmo he tried to get me to use was AlexanderRouse-08 which he said was his wife’s. Email he ultimately used was hunterbridge05@gmail to send pictures and the phone number he texted from was
‪+1 (920) 653-0745‬. I also found out via PayPal his email is [email protected]. Essentially same concept as described above. I never buy much from online forums and stupidly sent via F&F. I got convinced by some actual photos and written stuff on paper. Probably photoshopped now that I think about it. I was also convinced because the original seller used a guest account which you can’t message. I hit up someone else that purchased something from the OP and he confirmed it was all legit. But clearly this was a scammer capitalizing on a post. He got my number because I had posted it somewhere back in 2022 or so. I feel like such a dumbass.

Lesson learned…. Always Goods and Services for me and always messaging via the forum.

Unfortunately lesson learned the hard way. 😪

I'm currently getting screwed by PayPal themselves- scammer sent tracking number that it had been delivered to my doorstep PayPal sides with scammer and withdraws my money from my linked account.

I provide postmaster letter declaring it was a tracking number for a package that wasn't addressed to me but was delivered to the person it was addressed to. Been 7 days and they still refuse to return my money.

If you've linked your account to PayPal take precautions to protect your money from those who are supposed to provide buyer protection. Never again PayPal
