Sorry I was confusing earlier. Your information in a private (recently changed to direct) message is only visible to you and the other party in that pm. If you search your number you would see it in a pm but not anyone outside the pm/dm including staff. A profile message is different in that it’s visible to members but not the general public, those are the ones that I suggest looking for in a search. So how do you delete your number in a PM? Also why does our personal conversations with other members come up in the search function now? That doesn't seem right.

That makes sense now. Thanks again for your recommendations on double checking things via the search function. It's sad reading how many folks are getting scammed these days.Sorry I was confusing earlier. Yup. I posted an "I'll take it" recently and scammer used the forum email function to send me an email trying to get me to pay. He signed it "Thanks, Rockslide" which was lolsworthy.Best not to post an 'I'll take it' or 'PM sent'. Send a pm directly to the person. Scammers key on those words.
That always seems to be the common denominator for these scumbags. Would like to see a story of one actually being caught andprosecuted.Executed
