SCAM ALERT

Getting pretty long in the tooth for something like that. Why does it have to feel like you're entering The Matrix where there is danger around every corner everytime you try and buy something used on the World-wide Web.
It's the world we now live in. Being paranoid is not a good way to handle it.

I thought of that ,but I'm a FNG without every much history so again I'm probably toxic. I know I won't hesitate to deal with someone on this forum with 500 or 1000 posts.
Lots of hacked accounts recently so even someone with a long history should be dealt with with caution.

Thanks for the advice. Seeing that we are talking this one happened to an ice fishing buddy of mine. It isn't fraud, but these guys call themselves sportsmen. He found a high end Vexilar in Madison. Made all the arraignments, drives 150 miles, the guy doesn't show up. Hasn't had enough of this yet, finds one in Green Bay, 90 miles away stiffed again same story. They don't have the common courtesy to let him know something had changed. Next move bought a reconditioned one from Vexilar.

Doesn’t even have to be a person, AI can do all that from somewhere in China.

I wouldn’t trade with anyone who can’t talk on the phone, and I don’t use any electronic payment, so I don’t worry too much about scams.
